The Italian PV value chain in Morocco
The mission of Solar Breeder is to give the Italian SMEs in the PV sector the opportunity to export their know-how and skills, facilitating their investments, operations and sales abroad and responding to the local interest of public and private authorities.
In order to accomplish its mission SB will develop and manage an industrial district in Morocco, providing each operative company with the necessary financing for the start-up phase, offering rents and energy at special price and ensuring a strong sales’ channel. At the end, SB will be able to offer cost-competitive, high quality turnkey solutions for the Moroccan and international markets, together with the highest local content in the Mediterranean area.
Products and services will be made by different Moroccan companies within the district, mainly constituted by leading Italian companies, each one providing a different part of the PV value chain (hereinafter-operative companies). SB will participate to public and private bids offering turnkey solutions to the Moroccan and international PV markets. The production capacity in the first year of full operations will be 50 MW of turnkey solutions per year.
Participating companies include Brandoni Solare, Friem, RSE, Moroni & Partners, Raptech, PV plant management firm Kenergia Sviluppo and its parent company Kenergia, which is developing and coordinating the Solar Breeder project in Morocco.
Solar Breeder Morocco is one of the industrial district included in the Solar Breeder International‘s project.
